Using both hands, insert your ballot card into the slot in the VOTO-
MATIC. Insert your ballot card as far as it will go, positioning the
two holes over the red pins on the voting device. Turn to the first
ballot page.
2. Using the voting stylus, record your vote by punching the hole indi-
cated by the arrow next to your voting selection.
3. Lift your ballot from the red pins and remove it from the voting
device. To maintain ballot secrecy after voting, fold the long write-
in stub over the front part of your voted card. DO NOT DETACH
ANY PART OF YOUR BALLOT CARD.
4. IF YOU WRONGLY PUNCH, TEAR OR DEFACE YOUR BALLOT
CARD, RETURN IT TO THE ELECTION BOARD CLERK AND OB-
TAIN ANOTHER.

BOARD TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF BONDS TO FINANCE A COVERED
SWIMMING POOL AND FACILITIES
I. Shall Bend Metropolitan Park and Recreation District of Deschutes
County, Oregon contract an indebtedness of not to exceed $734,900
in general obligation bonds to mature serially over a period of not to
exceed thirty years from issue date, for the purpose of providing funds
with which to construct and furnish a covered swimming pool and
related bath facilities and to pay all costs relating to the issuance of
the bonds?
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The purpose of the bond issue is to provide funds for constructing and
furnishing a covered swimming pool and related bath facilities and
paying all costs relating to the issuance of the bonds. The proposed
bond is for $734,900; the term of the bonds will not exceed thirty
years from issue date; and the bonds will be general obligations pay-
able from property taxes.
