FACILITIES— Purpose: Constitu-
tional amendment authorizing gen-
eral obligation bonds for construct-
ing self-supporting facilities for
community colleges. Permits use
of revenues from other state edu-
cation facilities in financing proj-
ects.
ESTIMATE OF FINANCIAL EF-
FECTS: This amendment to Article
XI-F(1) and repeal of Article XI-G
would reduce the bonding limit
for Higher Education and commu-
nity college building projects from
$134,750,000 to $104,750,000. It would
also remove the present $5,000.000
limitation on indebtedness for com-
munity colleges within the total
bonding capacity. The potential av-
erage annual cost for principal and
interest on bonded indebtedness
would be reduced by approximately
$1,750,000. The indebtedness under
both articles now totals $68,000,000.

would reduce the bonding limit
for Higher Education and commu-
nity college building projects from
$134,750.000 to $104,750,000. It would
also remove the present $5,000,000
limitation on indebtedness for com-
munity colleges within the total
bonding capacity. The potential av-
erage annual cost for principal and
interest on bonded indebtedness
would be reduced by approximately
$1,750.000. The indebtedness under
both articles now totals $68,000,000.
