- BOND AUTHORIZATION
Question: Shall the District be authorized to con-
- ■ tract a general obligation bonded indebtedness
in an amount not to exceed$57,475,000. If the
bonds are approved, they will be payable from
- taxes on property or property ownership that are
not subject to the limits of Sections 11 and 11 b,
of the Oregon Constitution.
Summary:This measure may be passed only at
an election with at least a 50 percent voter turn- °..
out. This measure authorizes the District to is-
sue general obligation bonds of not to exceed
$57,475,000,to finance capital construction and
improvements in the District, including the ac ? k
- quisition,construction and furnishing of one high
school,one middle school,and one elementary
school;acquisition and improvement of property
- for support and school sites; reconstruction,
renovation,and addition to other buildings all as
more fully described in Long Range Sites and
- Facilities reports on file with the District;and to
pay all costs incidental thereto. Bonds would
mature over a period not to exceed 20 years.
