Business Tax On Motor Vehicle Fuel

Question:Shall the City of Redmond approve
- Ordinance No.2009-10,imposing a business
license tax on motor vehicle fuel dealers?
- Summary: On September 8,2009,the
Redmond City Council adopted Ordinance No.
2009-10,imposing a business license tax on motor
vehicle fuel dealers. The Ordinance would require
each motor vehicle fuel dealer within the City of
- Redmond to collect a business license tax on each
gallon of motor vehicle fuel sold. The business
- license tax of$0.03 per gallon,would not begin until
January 1,2011. The net revenue collected from
the business license tax would be used exclusively
for the construction,reconstruction,improvement,
400 repair,maintenance,operation,use,street lighting,
and storm drainage of the public highways,roads
. 41 and streets within the City of Redmond.
This Ordinance has been referred to the City of
