Mayor Endicott called the workshop to order at 7:01 a.m.
DISCUSSIONS
B. Evergreen School
Mayor Endicott recapped prior discussions that have taken place on a possible collaborative effort for the co-location
of services in Evergreen School. Discussions have stalled with both agencies "agreeing to disagree" on an offer.
B. Deschutes County Fair& Expo Update& Future Outlook
Deschutes County Fair& Expo Center(DCFE) Director Dan Despotopulos shared the flyover video of the DCFE
noting the full version can be viewed on YouTube. Mr. Despotopulos and DCFE Sales and Marketing Director Roxia
Thornton Todoroff highlighted upcoming DCFE events then reported on their 2014 Sales and Marketing Plan.
Discussion also took place on appropriations of transient room tax and property exchanges with the Division of
State Lands.
C. 9-1-1 Update
Mr. Anderson and Deputy County Administrator Erik Kropp updated the Council on the status of operations at the
9-1-1 facility, union negotiations, cell phone user fee, and 9-1-1 operating levy.
OTHER BUSINESS
Additional discussion took place on transient room tax. City Manager Keith Witcosky introduced himself and
described his background. There being no further business the workshop was adjourned at 8:02 a.m.
