The first attachment is a calendar that contains all the deadlines for the 2014 Legislative session. Monday,February 3 7:30-8:30 a.m. Opening Day Reception Hosted by the Senate President's Office and the Caucus Offices Senate Second Floor Reception Area 8:00 a.m. Senate Republicans and Democrats will each Caucus 8:30 a.m. Senate Convenes The agenda will include: • A report from the Committee on Credentials, • Voting on Senate Rules, • Announcement of Committee Assignments, • First Reading of Senate measures and referrals to committees, • Completion of the regular orders of business including courtesies,remonstrances, and propositions and motions. 6 Monday,February 3rd,cont. 10:30 a.m. Senate Policy Committees Open Hearings for the Session Committees that are regularly scheduled to meet on Monday mornings (i.e. the Senate General Government, Consumer& Small Business Protection Committee)will meet. This will start the slate of policy committee hearings according to the attached schedule. The Joint Committee on Ways&Means will meet for a brief organizational committee meeting. Committees may hold informational hearings only on February 1'and the morning of February 4th. Agendas must be posted with at least one-hour notice. Policy committees holding work sessions on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. must post an agenda no later than 1 p.m. on Monday,February 3'd. All policy committees holding work sessions thereafter must provide 24-hour notice.
