Black Butte Ranch Rural Fire Protection District 9-99 Black Butte Ranch RFPD Five-Year General Operations Local Option Tax Question: Shall the District impose up to $1.76 per$1000 of assessed value for five years for general operations beginning 2015-2016? This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent. Summary: This measure may be passed only at an election with at least a 50 percent voter turnout. A "Yes" vote on this measure is a vote to increase taxes. The District requires additional funds to maintain current programs and levels of service. This would begin in the fiscal year 2015-2016. The revenues from this operating levy will enable the district to continue 24/7 fire and paramedic service levels. Less than 41% of the districts expenses are covered by the permanent tax rate. The remaining 59% of needed revenues are covered by this levy and other resources.
