Also present were Tom Anderson, County Administrator; Erik Kropp, Deputy County Administrator; David Doyle, County Counsel; George Kolb, Road Department; Timm Schimke, Solid Waste Department; Renee Warner, Property & Facilities, and one other citizen. Before the Board was Consideration of Chair Signature of Document No. 2015-226, a Notice of Intent to Award Contract Letter for the Southwest Transfer Station Trailer Bay and Bin Storage Improvement Project. Minutes of Board of Commissioners' Business Meeting Wednesday, April 1, 2015 Page 1 of 5 Timm Schimke said that business has grown at this transfer station, and improvements are needed since they are often at capacity. He provided some details on the proposed changes. He also explained how the bidding companies are pre-qualified through a State and local process. Before the Board was Consideration of Board Signature of Document No. 2015-204, a Notice of Intent to Award Contract Letter for Printing Services. Renee Warner provided an overview of the item. The printing would be for any forms and printing typically in use by the County. A representative of each department was involved in the initial process. There were seven bidders. A. panel reviewed and rated the bids, and. Sagebrush Printing was selected as the successful bidder based on the various scores. She said it is more cost-effective to do this, but just as important is the document standardization throughout the County. UNGER: Move Board signature of Document No. 2015-204. DEBONE: Second. Before the Board was Consideration of Chair Signature of Document No. 2015-092, a Notice of Intent to Award Contract Letter for the Paving of Burgess Road, Huntington Road, Mitts Way and Shaw Pine Court. George Kolb explained that there were three bids and Knife River was the lowest bidder. The bids were very close. Burgess Road is mostly an overlay project; work on Huntington Road from Burgess to Victory Way will be more extensive. Mitts Way is to be brought up to higher standards, and Shaw Pine Court needs to be repaved. They are using a different, softer asphalt in La Pine that is supposed to help with the cold weather cracking problem there.
