An Order declaring certain Deschutes County
Personal Property Surplus and authorizing sale. * ORDER NO. 2015-056

WHEREAS, certain personal property described in Exhibit A, attached here to and by this reference
incorporated herein, is no longer needed for public use by the County; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to dispose of this surplus personal property; and
WHEREAS, County Code provides that the method of disposal of surplus property should be that which
is in the best interest of the County, considering such factors as the costs of sale,administrative costs, and public
benefits to the County; and
WHEREAS, the Road Department has determined that an on-line auction, PublicSurplus.com, offers an
efficient and cost effective means of selling the surplus property described in Exhibit A now,therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, HEREBY
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. The Deschutes County Road Department Director, or his designee, is hereby authorized and
directed to dispose of the personal property described in Exhibit A to this order at the public online auction
through PublicSurplus.com.
Section 2. The Director of the Road Department is authorized on behalf of the County to execute any
and all documents necessary to complete the transfer of any personal property authorized to be auctioned in
accordance with this order.
