In the summer of 1998, the City of Redmond and Deschutes County entered into an Urban Area
Growth Boundary Management Agreement. Part of that Agreement was for the City to request
transfer of road jurisdiction when areas were annexed.
Attached is a copy of Redmond Resolution #2016-17 which the Redmond City Council
approved on June 14, 2016. The resolution corrects original Redmond Resolution #2016-08
which contained an error in the road description. In addition and at the request of Deschutes
County, Redmond Resolution #2016-17 also contains an additional portion of County road
which was not previous included nor part of the original annexation. We would like to formally
request that Deschutes County surrender jurisdiction of certain rights-of-way to the City of
Redmond in conjunction with this annexation. The right-of-way description can be found in
Exhibits A -D of the Resolution.
If I can be of any assistance to you or answer any questions, please call me at (541) 923-7751.
Thank you,
