WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County has authorized the purchase of
property located at 1190 NW Wall Street Bend; and
WHEREAS, the Seller and County entered into a Purchase Agreement for the property on November
15, 2016 in the amount of $625,000, subject to a due diligence period which has now concluded; and
WHEREAS, the closing transaction is scheduled to occur on February 15, 2017, at which time
documents necessary to conclude the transaction need to be signed on behalf of Deschutes County as the buyer ;
now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, HEREBY
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. James Lewis, the Deschutes County Property Manager, is designated as the Deschutes
County representative for the purpose of signing documentation for the purchase of property located at 1190
NW Wall Street, Bend, OR - Deschutes County Tax Assessor's Map Number 171232ACO2800.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Board of County Commissioners previously authorized the purchase of property located at
1190 NW Wall Street, Bend. On November 15, 2016, the Seller and County entered into a
purchase/sale agreement for the property, subject to a due diligence period for property and
building inspections which has now concluded. The closing transaction is scheduled to occur
on February 15, 2017, with necessary paperwork for the buyer (Deschutes County) needing to
be signed at that time. Through this Order, the Board of County Commissioners will authorize
James Lewis, Property Manager for Deschutes County, to sign the necessary documents on
behalf of the County to close the transaction.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: The purchase is for $625,000, with an additional $3,831 in closing
fees, all due at the time of closing.
