Also present were Tom Anderson, County Administrator; and Sharon Ross, Board Executive Secretary. Two representatives of the media were in attendance and various other citizens. CALL TO ORDER: Chair Baney called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN INPUT: None was offered. Approval of Minutes of the March 20, 2017 Work Session 6. Approval of Minutes of the March 22, 2017 Business Meeting ACTION ITEMS 7. Reading of the Proclamation Declaring April 2017 to be Child Abuse Prevention Month Shelly Smith, KIDS Center Executive Director and Tian Rusk, MountainStar Executive Director presented today to launch the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Blue ribbons are placed throughout the city to support all children through the Speak Up, Save a Child campaign. Chair Baney read the proclamation into the record. Before the Board was Consideration of Approval of Weekly Accounts Payable Vouchers for the 9-1-1 County Service District, in the Amount of $345,145.24 DEBONE: Move approval, subject to review. HENDERSON: Second. County Administrator Anderson noted expenses for the new radio system and computer aid dispatch system. VOTE: DEBONE: HENDERSON: BANEY: Yes. Yes. Chair votes yes. Motion Carried CONVENED AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE EXTENSION/4-11 COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT 13. Consideration of Approval of Weekly Accounts Payable Vouchers for the Extension/4-H County Service District. None were presented. RECONVENED AS THE DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 14. Before the Board was Consideration of Approval of Weekly Accounts Payable Vouchers for Deschutes County, in the Amount of $906,054.19 DEBONE: Move approval, subject to review. HENDERSON: Second. County Administrator Anderson noted expenses for tenant improvements for the new space at Evergreen School at Redmond City Hall. VOTE: DEBONE: Yes. HENDERSON: Yes. BANEY: Chair votes yes.
