DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

A meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was held on May 31, 1988.
Commissioners present were Lois Prante, Dick Maudlin and Tom Throop. Also
present were Rick Isham, County Counsel; County Administrator Mike Maier; and
other staff.
Items discussed at this meeting may be on a future Board business meeting
agenda:
Discussion of real estate agent commissions on the sale of County properties.
There was a discussion about what happens if a Realtor has an offer on property
in the La Pine Industrial Park. The Commissioners felt this should be handled in a
consistent manner.
Appropriation of two special transportation grants for COCOA, Mental Health, the
City of Bend, Dynatron students, the Residential Assistance Program and the
Opportunity Center. The amount is less this year.

The STF Committee is trying to figure out how to fund all of the programs, and
they want the Board's input on how to split this money. At this time, various
contingency plans were discussed at length.
These programs are a high priority for the legislature, and the amounts might go
up as a result.
There was a lengthy discussion about the potential formation of a special transit
district.
Signature of a plat after an irrigation district has signed off.
A discussion of non -conforming lots will be on next week's agenda.
