A Resolution Correcting Identified Territory to be
Considered for Inclusion into the Bend Enterprise
Zone

RESOLUTION NO. 2017-051
WHEREAS, on September 20, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution No.
2017-046 in which the Board consented to inclusion of unincorporated territory into the City of Bend Enterprise
Zone; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to approval of Resolution No. 2017-046, staff at EDCO determined that the
property list and map included as Exhibits to Resolution No. 2017-046 were in error; and
WHEREAS, the corrected map is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and the corrected property list is
attached hereto as Exhibit B, now therefor,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Provided that the City of Bend takes final action on or before July 31, 2018, Deschutes
County consents to inclusion of the portions of unincorporated territory within the Bend UGB identified and
described on the attached Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
SECTION 2. To the extent inconsistent with this Resolution, Resolution No. 2017-046 is rescinded.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.

Board approval and signature of Resolution No. 2017-051 correcting description errors to Resolution
2017-046 which the Board approved on September 20, 2017 (Consenting to Inclusion of Territory
within the Bend UGB into the Bend Enterprise Zone).
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? No.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Bend Enterprise Zone was designated in July 2010. The last boundary change was in May 2012.
EDCO has requested that the County consent to inclusion of portions of territory within the Bend UGB
into the Bend EZ. Exhibts A & B, attached to this Resolution describes and illustrates the subject
territory.
The City of Bend is scheduled to address this matter in mid-October 2017. As with the previous
Resolution, this Resolution provides that if the City does not take final action on this matter prior to the
end of July 2018, that the consent lapses.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Possible tax assessment/collection implications.
