A Resolution Appropriating New Grant Funds
in the Deschutes County 2017-2018 Budget

RESOLUTION NO. 2017-057
WHEREAS, Deschutes County's Health Services Fund will receive new grant revenue totaling
$177,351; and
WHEREAS, these new grant funds need to be appropriated; and
WHEREAS, ORS 294.326(2) allows the appropriation and expenditures of new grant funds
designated to specific purposes; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following grant be budgeted:
Revenue
Health Services Fund
Local Grant
$ 177,351
TOTAL REVENUE: S 177.351
Section 2. That the following appropriations be made within the 2017-2018 County
Budget:

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Health Department included $268,841 in the FY 2018 budget for this program, however,
the actual grant award was $446,192. The difference of $177,351 must be appropriated to
allow the department to spend the additional funds on the Perinatal program.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Resolution 2017-057 appropriates the additional grant award for
the Perinatal Care Continium program for FY 2018.
