DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

December 27, 1999; 10:00-10:45 AM.
A meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was held on December 27,
1999. Commissioners present were Dennis Luke, Linda Swearingen and Tom
DeWolf. Also in attendance were Rick Isham, County Counsel; County
Administrator Mike Maier; and some staff. No representatives of the media or
other citizens were in attendance.
Items discussed at this meeting may be on a future Board business meeting
agenda.
Discussion of signature of Resolution 99-092, regarding a request from the Forest
Service relating to lands involved in an exchange. This clarifies some of the
language in documents regarding land that will be a part of the expansion of the
Sunriver sewage treatment plant.

Discussion of approval of a reappointment to the Commission on Children &
Families' board of directors.
Discussion of approval of an appointment to the Noxious Weed Advisory Board.
Discussion of signature of letters reappointing individuals to the Newberry Estates
Special Road District board of directors.
Discussion of signature of a letter reappointing an individual to the Deschutes
River Recreation Homesites Unit 6 Special Road District board of directors.
Discussion of signature of an Order authorizing the refund of taxes.
Discussion of signature of an Order authorizing refund of vouchers.
Discussion of signature of a letter reappointing an individual to the Vandevert
Acres Special Road District board of directors.
Discussion of a decision on the Rose Pit mining land use appeal.
Discussion of the possibility of a secondary access road for Deschutes River
Woods.
Discussion of a possible secondary access road for Lazy River South and Bridge
Drive area. It is the longest cul de sac in the County, at least three or four miles
long. It was felt that funds from the federal Project Impact program could be
obtained to handle this kind of project.
