BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
A Resolution Appropriating New Grant Funds
in the Deschutes County 2019-2020 Budget * RESOLUTION NO. 2019-041
*
WHEREAS, Deschutes County's Veterans' Fund will receive new grant revenue totaling $9,191;
and
WHEREAS, these new grant funds need to be appropriated; and
WHEREAS, ORS 294.326(2) allows the appropriation and expenditures of new grant funds
designated to specific purposes; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following grant be budgeted:

Veterans' Fund
ODVA Grant

TOTAL REVENUE: 9 191
Section 2. That the following appropriations be made within the 2019-2020 County Budget:

TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration of Board Signature of Resolution No. 2019-041, Approving New Grant
Funds in the Veterans' Fund.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2019-041 appropriating new grant funds in the
Veterans' Fund by $9,191.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Unanticipated grant funds from ODVA in the amount of $9,191, of which, $3,000 is to be used
for suicide prevention. The remaining $6,191 will be used for temporary help.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
This budget adjustment authorizes an increase in Program Budget appropriation of $9,191 for
Fiscal Year 2020.
