BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
A Resolution Authorizing a Change Fund
For the Deschutes County Community * RESOLUTION NO. 2020-055
Development Department
In an Amount of $400.
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Community Development Department needs a change fund
in the amount of $400 to transact business; and
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Community Development Department currently has a change
fund in the amount of $100 in the La Pine office (held by Finance) & $200 in the Bend office; and
WHEREAS, the change fund at Community Development's office in La Pine will be $0 & the
change fund at Community Development's office in Bend will be $400; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That a check for $200 from account number 295-102000 will be drawn to establish
such account (reassigning $100, as held by Finance, and increasing the change fund by $100).
Section 2. Board Resolution No. 2008-047, A Resolution Authorizing a Change Fund
For the Deschutes County Community Development Department In an Amount of $300,
is rescinded.

Consideration of Board Signature of Resolution No. 2020-055, Amending the Authorized
Balance of the Change Funds - Community Development
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff Recommends approval of Resolution 2020-055 Increasing the $300 change drawer in
Community Development to $400.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Community Development department currently has an authorized change drawer in the
amount of $300. The department would like to increase the drawer by $100 to better support
its need for bill -exchange (i.e. breaking large denominations into smaller denominations).
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Approval of the resolution will increase the cash drawer balance in
Community Development from $300 to $400, a $100 increase.
