RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2020-059, approving acceptance of the CCBHC Expansion extended grant funding, appropriating the funds and extending 3.0 FTE in Health Services Fund through June 30, 2021. BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Deschutes County Health Services (DCHS) has an estimated $657,618 in unspent funding through the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion (CCBHC-E) Grant. The grantor, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), approved DCHS spend the remaining funds through a nine -month No Cost Extension, ending June 30, 2021. DCHS requests the Board approve acceptance of the funds. The No Cost Extension will seek to meet six of the remaining eight objectives from the original grant proposal. Specifically, focus will center on improved diabetes and hypertension, sanctuary training and implementation, and improved client screening, assessment, engagement, and referral practices. In order to do so, DCHS is requesting approval to extend the following 3.0 FTE limited - duration positions through June 30, 2021: • 1.0 FTE Administrative Assistant (Position #2115) 1.0 FTE Clinical Information System Administrator (Position #2329) 0 1.0 FTE Patient Account Specialist 11 (Position #2010) FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: This budget adjustment covers an increase to the Health Services Fund by $657,618 in appropriation for Fiscal Year 2021. The 3.0 FTE requested are limited duration ending June 30, 2021.
