Chair Commissioner DeBone called the meeting to order. No identified representatives of the media were in attendance. 1. It is recognized that Senator Tim Knopp, Rep. Jason Kropf and Rep. Daniel Bonham are present. They briefly explain individual priorities. Legislator Updates Legislators discuss the start of the session. Commissioners state their support for rural ADUs. Commissioner Adair and Nick Lelack testified in support of ADU's (HB 2705) this week. Commissioners indicate support for staff testifying in support of SB 391 (Rural ADUs). PacWest Update Phil Scheuers updates the group on the Ways and Means Committee and that there are going to meetings in the following weeks. The Oregon Health Authority is covering the Public Health Plan and first round of public testimony will be this coming week. Commissioner Chang mentions HB 3103 which has to do with water rights. He also asked Timm Shimke to provide an update on HB 2065. Priority Bills Discussion Chris Doty mentioned that he added SB 395 to the watch list this morning. Commissioner Adair asked if there are any bills addressing unemployment application issues. Senator Knopp mentions that there are some changes in technologies of the system and he is hopeful that the problems are fixed soon. Mr. Scheuers mentions that the Secretary of State just released new bills on technologies. Commissioner Chang asks for thoughts on HB 2282. Mr. Kropf mentions that there is committee work happening, conversations with the City of Bend and there is going to be hearings on the topic soon.
