within the 2020-21

* RESOLUTION NO.2021-017
WHEREAS, On March 22nd, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners was presented
with consideration of an increase of 1.0 full time PW Equipment Operator- FTE in support of
Deschutes County Solid Waste operations, and
WHEREAS, Deschutes County Policy HR-1 requires that a creation of or increase in FTE
outside the adopted budget be approved by the Board of County Commissioners; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Consideration of Board Signature of Resolution No. 2021-017 Increasing 1.0 FTE Within
the 2020-21 Deschutes County Budget
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommend approval of Resolution 2021-017 increasing 1.O full time PW Equipment
Operator in support of Deschutes County Solid Waste operations.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
On March 22nd, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners was presented with this request
from Deschutes County Solid Waste. Acceptance of this resolution would increase 1.0 full time
PW Equipment Operator in support of Deschutes County Solid Waste operations.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Other vacancy savings would be utilized to pay for this position in
FY 21. For FY 22, the number of PW Equipment Operator FTE in Solid Waste proposed
budget would increase from nine to ten.
