A conference call was held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 8:00 a.m, via Zoom Conference call for a weekly
scheduled event during this 2021 Legislative Session, Chair Commissioner DeBone called the meeting to
order, No identified representatives of the media were in attendance.

Representative Jason Kropfs Chief of Staff Oliver Muggli mentions that Mr.Kropf
and other legislators and state staff have reached a consensus on the marijuana bill
language.

SB 762- Informational meeting April 5t". This bill will have two hearings and
has dash two amendments posted.
SB 801- Public Hearing and possible Work Session April 8t". Erik Kropp will
prepare a letter in opposition for the Board to consider at their April 5t"
meeting.
HB 2282- Work Session April 8t"
HB 2705- Work Session April 8t"
SB 582- Public Hearing April 8t"
HB 2177- Work Session April 8tn
HB 2173- Work Session April 8tn
Mr. Scheuers adds that this last week had been a slow week in the legislature and
that renewable energy and fire related bills have a lot of conversation within the
capital.
Department Priority Bills Discussion
Nick Lelack asks for clarification regarding SB 391 and HB 2705 both possibly going
to the floor and if they would reconcile. Mr. Scheuers explains how the bills move
through the different chambers.
Commissioner Chang mentions HB 2722 and SB 762 being in a similar situation.

Whitney Hale mentions a email received from Senator Linthicum's office regarding
suggested uses of ARPA funds as well as a budget proposal. Commissioner Adair
mentions her requests for upgrading Smith Rock State Park. Administrator
Anderson suggests the county's capital improvement projects being added to the
list. Mr. Anderson will prepare a list of possible ideas and have the Commissioners
review.
Commissioner Adair mentions a conference call with state representatives and
community members of the China Hat area regarding the homelessness issues. The
Forest Service's plans to match the county's funds for removing junk vehicles.
Geoff Hinds mentions that HB 3173 is still active.
Tom Kuhn asked Commissioners if they would support him writing a email to
support HB 5024 for a community organization. The Board agrees.
Commissioner Chang requests for Commissioners to look over the federal
appropriations requests for the coming year at a upcoming meeting.
Commissioner Adair mentions that local business are struggling to find people to
work for them. Commissioner Chang mentions that many people are still
connected town employer and why they are continuing to receive benefits.
Legislator Update
Representative Jason Kropf updates the group that the legislature passed the
navigation center funding as well as the DOGAMI budget last night. He is making
hard push for two judges and ODJ is supportive. He also recognizes the Regional
Training Center as a top priority.
Adjourn: The meeting was adjourned at 8:51 am.
