A Resolution Transferring Appropriations
within the 2021-2022
Deschutes County Budget
* RESOLUTION NO. 2022-014
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Finance department presented to the Board of County
Commissioners on 2/23/2022, with regards to balancing transfers from the Community Justice
Juvenile fund to the Vehicle Replacement fund, and
WHEREAS, ORS 294.471 allows a supplemental budget adjustment when authorized by
resolution of the governing body, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase transfers out of the Community Justice Fund in the
amount of $ 26,010, and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following amounts be appropriated in the 2021-22 County Budget:
Community Justice Juvenile Fund 030
Personnel
Transfers Out

Section 2. That the Chief Financial Officer make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes
County Financial System to show the above appropriations.

SUBJECT: Consideration of Resolution No. 2022-014, Increasing Transfers Out from the
Community Justice Juvenile fund within the 2021-2022 Deschutes County Budget.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move Approval of Resolution No. 2022-014, Increasing Transfers Out from the Community Justice
Juvenile fund within the 2021-2022 Deschutes County Budget.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Community Justice Juvenile fund vehicle replacement transfer out was adopted with the
incorrect amount of $55,000. The vehicle replacement transfer in from the Comm unity Justice
Juvenile fund was approved for $81,101. Approval of this resolution will balance the transfers
between the two funds.
BUDGET IMPACTS:
The Community Justice Juvenile fund personnel budget is projected to be underspent in the
current fiscal year. This budget adjustment will reduce personnel expenditures and increase the
transfer out expenditure by $26,010 in the Community Justice fund to balance transfers with the
Vehicle Replacement fund.
