BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:: On July 6, 2022, the Deschutes County Solid Waste department discussed with the Board the addition of 2.0 regular FTE Landfill Site-Attendant positions.. These positions will support the schedule expansion at the Southwest Transfer Station and reduce the need for contract labor at Knott Landfill Operations. BUDGET IMPACTS: The estimated cost for the Solid:Waste Fund 610 is$83,364 per position,for a total of$166,728 for.FY23. The 2.0 FTE will be funded by a reduction in contract services in Materials and Services, and anticipated vacancy savings in Personnel. ATTENDANCE: Betsy Tucker, Senior Budget Analyst
