OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE DESCHUTES COUNTY 9-1-1
SERVICE DISTRICT
A Resolution to Increase Appropriations
Within the 2022-23 Deschutes County Budget * RESOLUTION NO. 2023-005
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Facilities department presented to the Board of County
Commissioners on 10/19/22 with regards to Contract increases for the building remodel of 244
Kingwood in Redmond, and
WHEREAS, ORS 294.463 allows transfers between appropriation categories within a fund
when authorized by resolution of the governing body, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to reduce Program expense and increase Transfer Out
appropriations by $59,900 within the 9-1-1 Service District Fund for its contribution to the
remodel, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
DESCHUTES COUNTY 9-1-1 SERVICE DISTRICT, as follows:
Section 1. That the following expenditures be appropriated in the 2022-23 County Budget:
Deschutes County 9-1-1 Service District
Transfers Out $ 59,900
Program Expense (59,900)
Total Deschutes County 9-1-1 Service District $ 0
Section 2. That the Chief Financial Officer make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes
County Financial System to show the above appropriations:

SUBJECT: Consideration of Resolution No. 2023-005 Transferring Appropriations between
Program Expense and Transfers Out within the 9-1-1 Service District Fund and
the 2022-23 Deschutes County Budget.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move Approval of Resolution No. 2023-005 Transferring Appropriations between
Categories within the 9-1-1 Service District Fund and the 2022-23 Deschutes County
Budget.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
On 10/19/22 the Facilities department presented to the Board of County Commissioners
regarding Contract increases for the building remodel of 244 Kingwood in Redmond.
• 244 Kingwood - Budget increase of $416,860 required and funded by:
o $215,000 Contribution from Mosaic Medical (on Resolution 2023-002)
o $59,900 transfer from 9-1-1 Service District Fund
o $141,960 transfer from Health Services (on Resolution 2023-002)
BUDGET IMPACTS:
Reducing Program expenditure appropriations by $59,900 and increasing Transfer Out
appropriations by $59,900 within the 9-1-1 Service District Fund.
