An Order Declaring Certain Deschutes
County Personal Property Surplus and
Authorizing Donation.
* ORDER NO. 2024-022
WHEREAS, certain personal property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto by this reference
incorporated herein, is no longer needed for public use by the County; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to dispose of this surplus personal property; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to dispose of such property by donation; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
HEREBY ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. The Deschutes County Sheriff, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed
to dispose of the personal property described in Exhibit A to this order.
Section 2. The Chair is authorized on behalf of the County to execute any and all documents
necessary to complete the transfer of any personal property in accordance with this order.

SUBJECT: Approval of Board Order No. 2024-022 authorizing the Deschutes County
Sheriff's Office to donate a vehicle to a nonprofit corporation
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move approval of Board Order No. 2024-022 authorizing the Deschutes County Sheriffs
Office to donate a vehicle that is no longer needed to Jericho Road, Inc.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Deschutes County Sheriffs Office proposes to donate a 2010 Ford F150 that is no
longer in use. The estimated market value of the truck is $3,698, but there is notable
damage to both the interior and exterior. Given the current condition, DCSO values the
truck at $1,500.
BUDGET IMPACTS:
The only impact is the lost opportunity cost of up to $1,500.
