BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: In 1928, Deschutes County acquired property by tax deed due to nonpayment of property taxes. The property is located at 54785 Pinewood Avenue, Bend, and is known as Map and Tax Lot 211001 B010200. When the County sold the property in 1962, it conveyed its interest but reserved mineral rights. Since 1962, the property has been sold and purchased numerous times and is currently improved with a manufacturer home and outbuildings. The current property owners have respectfully requested the County relinquish its reserved mineral rights by quitclaim deed for zero -cost.
