Understanding our past will help guide our future:
Teacher recruitment and retention: Many experienced
teachers are close to retiring. A primary objective is to
attract new educators who aspire to reside, work, and
integrate into the Sisters community. We must provide
tiatives like affordable housing to make them want to stay.
Student Health and Wellness:
Mental health care is vital to the well-being of our
students. Students struggling in this area are less
likely to attend school regularly.
Promoting new cell phone reduction initiatives to
reduce distraction and improve engagement.
Early childhood interventions: Reestablishing support
services such as Speech and Social/Emotional learning
for students who suffered delays during COVID. Work-

the needs of preschool -aged children and their working
parents.
Exi)anded learninci opportunities: I support educational
opportunities that prepare every student for their next
step, whether college, trade school, or military service.
Every child deserves learning opportunities that excite and
propel them to their future.
Fiscal Responsibility: Sisters residents have generously
invested in their schools. As a board member, I will remain
fiscally responsible.
As a mother and nurse, I am most notably an advocate. I use
my knowledge and it to advance the cause of those in my
care. As your school board member, I will do the same for the
children, the teachers, and the community.

quality of learning a lifetime pursuit. My careers have spanned
from early childhood education, elementary, middle, and high

Serving on the Sisters School Board for the past five years
