DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, JULY 9, 2001
Present at the meeting were Commissioners Tom De Wolf, Dennis Luke and Mike
Daly. Also present were George Read, Kevin Harrison, Roger Everett and,
Doreen Blome , Community Development; Jenny Scanlon, Commissioners' Office;
Becky Jackson, Corrections; Timm Schimke, Solid Waste Department; Rick Isham
and Laurie Craghead, Legal Counsel; Judy Sumners, Risk Management; Media
Representatives Barney Lerten of Bend.com and John Cote' of The Bulletin; and
four citizens.
Chair Tom De Wolf opened the meeting at 10: 00 a. m.
1. Before the Board was Citizen Input.
None was offered.
2. Before the Board was the Reading of a Proclamation, Declaring July 16
through 21 to be Probation and Parole Officers' Week in Deschutes County.
Chair Tom DeWolf read the Proclamation and, on behalf of the citizens of
Deschutes County, thanked the Corrections Department for their hard work.
LUKE: I move approval of the declaration of July 16 through 21 as Probation
and Parole Officers' Week.

Quality Services Performed with Pride
3. Before the Board was Consideration of Signature of an Intergovernmental
Agreement (#2045) between Deschutes County and the Oregon Department
of Corrections for Community Corrections Services.
Becky Jackson stated that no general funds are used to cover the costs of these
services, and that the new contract allows for thirteen new positions.

4. Before the Board was Consideration of Signature of a Personal Services
Contract for Therapist Services for Sex Offender Treatment.

7. Before the Board was Consideration of Signature of Order No. 2001-074,
Directing Pinehurst Road to be Surveyed, Setting a Public Hearing on
August 22, 2001, and Rescinding Order No. 2001-056.

8. Before the Board was Consideration of Board of County Commissioners'
Endorsement of the Deschutes County Ten -Year Community Plan.

20. Before the Board was Consideration of Signature of a Correction Deed
regarding Property Located off the Old Bend -Burns Highway (Highway

Being no other action taken, Chair De Wolf adjourned the meeting at 11: 05 a. m.
