1995-37178-Minutes for Meeting April 13,1983 Recorded 5/11/1983- 95-37178 VOL 46 FAu 664 DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS -- APRIL 13, 1983 - MEETING WITH BLM REGARDING LAND TRADE Chairman Young called the meeting to order at 1:30 P.M. Commissioner Prante and Commissioner Tuttle were also present. Zeke Ziegler, Phil Paterno and Gerald Magnuson of BLM were also present. John Andersen and Jordan Maley of the County Planning Department were present. The meeting was held in the Commissioners Conference Room. The appraisals of the two parcels of property being considered for trade had been completed. The BLM proerty was valued at $3,370,000 and the County property was valued at 3,357,900 with a difference of $12,100 in the County's favor. It was also noted that the BLM property had a milling claim. The appraisal gave no value to this property encumbered with the milling claim. This claim would be a cloud on the title unless it were purchased from Mr. Dean who holds the claim. There was much further discussion in regard to equalization of value between the two properties. It was determined that to equalize value, the County would retain a 20 -acre parcel located in Township 16, Range 11E, Section 5. BLM would receive parcels labelled A, H, I, J, K as shown on the reference map. The County would receive the large BLM parcel located north of Bend including that parcel with the encumbrance. Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Albert A. Young, airman oiV)Brisow Prante, Commissioner Laurence A.'
