DATE: NOVEMBER 8, 1983
SUBJECT: COMPLETION OF PREBLE WAY L.I.D. W-75
The work on Preble Way L.I.D. has been completed. Pursuant to ORS
371.645, we hereby ascertain the amount of assessment against each
parcel in the district for the improvement of that portion of Preble
Way from the intersection of Finley Butte Road to the Southeast corner
of Lot 57 of the B.L.M. Tracts platted in Section 14, Township 22
South, Range 10 East Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon.
Prior to the start of the assessment district, one of the government
lots had been divided into two tax lots. Both parcels were owned by
the same people who live on one of the parcels. During the
construction of this project the lots were combined under one tax lot
number, which has reduced the number of lots to be assessed to a total
of fifteen (15) lots. This has only a minor effect on the final
assessment as the project was done at a lower cost than originally
estimated.
The actual construction cost was $26,180.39 and the cost for
engineering and administration (limited by State Law to 15% of the
construction cost) was $3,927.01 for a total of $30,107.40. The
difference between the estimated cost per lot and the actual cost per
lot amounts to $7.16 increase per property owner, which is within the
allowable range of change for the project.
Therefore, we recommend the cost of $30,107.40 be assessed against the
following 15 lots on Exhibit "A", at an equal assessment of $2,007.16.
