Chairman Young called to order the meeting of the Deschutes County
Extension 4-H Service District Budget Committee at 1:30 P.M.
Those present were Commission Chairman Abe Young, Commissioner
Lois Prante, Commissioner Larry Tuttle, Marvin Young, Bob Clark
and Ken Johnson. Rick Isham, County Counsel, was also present.
Chairman Young stated the purpose of the meeting was to consider
acceptance of the proposed budget for the district.
Chairman Young read aloud the Budget Message. Budget Officer
Marvin Young went through the items in the budget, discussing them
briefly, noting that they are within the 6% allowed increase in
tax revenue.
Nominations for Chairman were opened. Mr. Clark moved that
Commissioner Tuttle be elected Chairman of the Budget Committee.
There were no further nominations.
MOTION: PRANTE moved that the nominations be closed and that
Larry Tuttle be appointed Chairman of the Budget
Committee.
JOHNSON: Second.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL.
There was some further discussion regarding the budget, no changes
or additions were made.
MOTION: JOHNSON moved the Committe accept the budget as
presented.
CLARK: Second.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL.
It was the consensus of the Committee to set the Budget Hearing
for May 9, 1984 at 1:00 P.M. in the Courthouse Annex, Conference
Room A.
MOTION: PRANTE moved to set
P.M.
YOUNG: Second.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL.
