Tuttle and Commissioner Lois Prante. Jack Tate was absent.
Chairman MacKenzie explained that the purpose of today's session
is to have final approval of the 1984/85 budget as reviewed by the
Budget Committee.
Commissioner Tuttle indicated that one library fund had been
overlooked during the review process. This fund was the result of
a bond sale that occurred about six years ago. The Committee
reviewed and approved the fund.
MOTION: TUTTLE moved for approval of the library debt service
budget on page 108 of the budget document.
DONALDSON: Second.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL.
It was noted that all changes in the budget were reflective of
budget committee decisions.
MOTION: DONALDSON moved that the 1984/85 budget be approved as
reviewed and agreed upon by the Budget Committee.
YOUNG: Second.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL.
It was the concensus of the Budget Committee to schedule the
budget final hearing for July 11. The budget must be adopted by
July 15 to meet legal requirements.
There was some discussion regarding the tax base election to be
held in November. It was noted that if the tax base is successful
the last year of the library levy would be disregarded and the
library would operate with funds obtained through the tax base.
It was suggested that a meeting be set up with the Budget
Committee before the tax base election.
Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
