WE WERE RETAINED BY DAVID EVANS AND ASSOCIATES, INC. TO ESTABLISH SURVEY CONTROL, COMPLETE TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYING
AND PREPARE A CONTROL, RECOVERY AND RETRACEMENT MAP FOR THE DESCHUTES COUNTY PROJECT ENTITLED: "NE NEGUS WAY
AND NE 17TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS"
THE RIGHT OF WAYS RETRACED AND REPORTED ON THIS SURVEY WERE ESTABLISHED BY NUMEROUS METHODS AND LEGAL
DOCUMENTS. IT WAS FOUND THAT MOST IF NOT ALL OF THE RIGHT OF WAYS INCLUDED IN THIS SURVEY DO NOT FOLLOW PUBLIC LAND
SURVEY SYSTEM LINES, FOR THIS REASON SHEET 1 IS THE ONLY SHEET WHICH FULLY REPORTS THE RETRACED BEARINGS AND
DISTANCES OF THESE LINES. IN MOST INSTANCES A SHIFT IN THE RIGHT OF WAY EXISTS ALONG THESE PUBLIC LAND SURVEY SYSTEM
LINES FOR THE DEDICATIONS ARE NOT IDENTICAL ON BOTH SIDES FOR VARYING REASONS. THE RECORD REFERENCES REPORTED
HEREON WERE ACQUIRED FROM THIS OFFICE ALONG WITH SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE DESCHUTES COUNTY
SURVEYOR'S OFFICE. IN GENERAL MOST OF THE RIGHT OF WAY REPORTED HEREON WAS ESTABLISHED WITH A COMBINATION OF
THESE RECORDS AND RECOVERED MONUMENTATION. BEARING AND OR DISTANCE REFERENCES REPORTED HEREON ARE LIMITED TO
THE LATEST REPORTED RETRACEMENT.

THIS PROJECT IS LOCATED ENTIRELY WITHIN THE CENTRAL OREGON COORDINATE SYSTEM, EXPRESSED IN THE NORTH AMERICAN
DATUM OF 1983 [(NAD83) 1991 EPOCH] AS DETERMINED THIS SURVEY BY HIGH PRECISION STATIC GPS METHODS, EXPRESSED IN
INTERNATIONAL FEET.
BASIS OF COORD/NA TES.
THE BASIS OF COORDINATES IS CENTRAL OREGON COORDINATE SYSTEM MARK NAME "15131400 (GIS 027)", HEREON REFERENCED AS
MONUMENT IDENTIFIER 2, WHICH IS THE MONUMENTED CORNER OF SECTIONS 14, 15, 22 AND 23, TOWNSHIP 15 SOUTH, RANGE 13 EAST,
W.M., OREGON, SET BY W.C. KAUFFMAN IN 1988 PER OREGON CORNER RESTORATION RECORD 1032. THIS MONUMENT IS ALSO UTILIZED
BY THE NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY AS PID "QD1543". SAID STATION HAS PUBLISHED CENTRAL OREGON COORDINATES OF:
NORTHING: 460,142.991, EASTING: 3,335,307.373.
