SURVEY REPORT
Edith E. Squires Property
Part of SW 4 SE Sec. 12, T. 16 S . , R. 12 E. , W.M.
Deschutes County, Oregon
On 30 July 1971 I was shown two previously established
points supposed to be monuments depicting the southern limits
of the Squires' lands. These were claimed by Mrs. Edith E.
Squires as the points shown to her by Earl Fox in 1965 when
he was preparing to sell this portion of his holdings to said
Squires. At that time Earl Fox retained or reserved the land
south of the two monuments, thus acquiescing to such monumenta-
tion. The * southern tract was sold later (Feb. 1966) to Joseph
W. Warner and now belongs to Ron Carroll of Redmond. The as-
sumption is made that the two monuments were shown to these
gentlemen. Ron Carroll's brother, now in temporary residence
on the Carroll land, knew of steel corners at the northern
bounds, which he mentioned in conversation Tuesday evening
10 August 1971. A line of wooden stakes on or near the line
between the two monuments was also present, apparently in pre-
paration for fencing the division line. Mrs. Squires claimed
neither she, nor her husband had set them but that the adjoiner
had done so.
