HomeMy WebLinkAboutSurvey 21624SCALE: 1 "= 500 FEET 500 0 100 250 500 ORIGINAL PAGE SIZE: 18" X 24" MONUMENT TABLE - AI A 0 0 A TI\/C PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY WAS TO SURVEY THE EXISTING MONUMENTS THAT WERE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE GRINDING AND REPAVING OF POWELL BUTTE HIGHWAY AND NELSON ROAD AND REPLACING PURSUANT TO ORS 209.150(1). THIS SURVEY IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A CENTERLINE OR RIGHT-OF-WAY RETRACEMENT. RESEARCH: WE RESEARCHED ALL OF THE SURVEYS OF RECORD WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THIS PROJECT TO DETERMINE WHERE RECORD MONUMENTS FELL. A PRE -CONSTRUCTION FIELD SEARCH WAS CONDUCTED TO TIE THE EXISTING MONUMENTS. WE FOUND SEVEN (7) MONUMENTS IN THE EXISTING ASPHALT. MONUMENTS THAT WERE WITHIN THE GRINDING DEPTH WERE DRIVEN DOWN BELOW DEPTH. FOUND SECTION AND QUARTER CORNERS AND THEIR RELATED ACCESSORIES WERE NOT IMPACTED BY THE PAVING PROJECT. SEE THE REFERENCED OREGON CORNER RESTORATION RECORDS (OCRR) FOR FURTHER INFORMATION. REFERENCING PROCEDURES: PRIMARY PROJECT CONTROL POINT (2) WAS ESTABLISHED ON SITE USING COMBINED ORGN RTK AND STATIC OBSERVATIONS. FOR STATIC PROCESSING, BASELINES WERE PROCESSED FROM ORGN BASE BNDM AND FROM CONTROL POINT GRANTHAM (1) LOCATED AT THE DESCHUTES COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE. SECONDARY CONTROL AND MONUMENT OBSERVATIONS WERE TIED USING COMBINED ORGN RTK AND STATIC OBSERVATIONS WITH BASELINES PROCESSED FROM PRIMARY CONTROL POINT (2). OBSERVATIONS ON MONUMENTS USING ROBOTIC TOTAL STATION WERE ALSO USED FROM SECONDARY CONTROL. A LEAST SQUARES CONTROL NETWORK ADJUSTMENT WAS PERFORMED TO FINALIZE THE COORDINATES OF THE PROJECT CONTROL AND MONUMENT TIES. NOT ALL SECONDARY CONTROL POINTS ARE SHOWN ON THIS SURVEY AS THEY WERE TEMPORARY IN NATURE. REMONUMENTATION PROCEDURES: AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE GRINDING AND REPAVING, MAG NAILS WITH WASHERS WERE SET FLUSH AT THE SURFACE OF THE NEW ASPHALT AT THE POSITION OF THE FOUND MONUMENTS, USING TRADITIONAL GNSS RTK METHOD WITH AN ONSITE GNSS BASE SET ON PRIMARY CONTROL POINT 2. DISCLAIMER: NO CERTIFICATION IS BEING MADE AS TO THE POSITION OF FOUND MONUMENTS RELATIVE TO ANY RECORD PROPERTY LINE, SECTION LINE, ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY OR CENTERLINE, OTHER THAN THE LOCATION AT WHICH IT WAS FOUND AND TIED BY DESCHUTES COUNTY IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY OF 2025.
