the falls to a generator housed in a wooden frame building with a galvanized roof.
“Described as a tribute to engineering ingenuity,” Cline Falls Power Company was formed in 1901. The
plant was purchased by Deschutes Power Co. in 1913 (which later became Pacific Power and Light Co. in
1930). The plant was created to increase power supply for Central Oregon.
