converted into a bunk house for ranch employees. Because the closest supply point was
Prineville, William Wurzweiler (owner of Black BuƩe Land & Livestock) found it pracƟcal to
establish a depot at this locaƟon, which later evolved into a commissary for all ranch
employees. Original prices are sƟll wriƩen in pencil on the wooden shelves.
The barn, equipment shed and foreman’s house are included as part of the historic
significance of the Long Hollow Ranch.
