HomeMy WebLinkAboutAitken Drug StoreThe Sisters Drug Store, formerly known as the Aitken Drug Store, was burned in the 1923
fire along Cascade Avenue. The building was rebuilt and fortunately escaped the 1924 fire.
The original building was built by George Aitken, who published the Sisters Herald for a
while, then operated the town’s drug store. The rebuilt store contained a marble top soda
fountain purchased from a Portland saloon.
