accessed from Forest or 8th Street)

(12:04) Approval of prior minutes (February)
(12:05) Black Butte Ave with ADA sidewalks and bike lanes that give a safe,
continuous east-west route across town, and connect with the Dry Canyon
trail and the high school campus
(12:15) Roundabout at 27th and Yew
(12:30) Spruce Ave staircase
(12:40) Natural surface trail at the Homestead Linear Park
(12:50) Mapping of safe bike routes within the city, and another map of ADA
sidewalks within the city.
(1:00) What are low cost options to create a safe bike-ped connection with
Elkhorn and the new high school?
(1:10) What are the pros and cons of painting 4' bike lanes?
(Cons-expense, maintenance, narrowing of traffic lanes. Pros- safety,
education of cyclists and vehicle drivers, serving more of the community’s
needs. Is colored striping becoming acceptable? Portland is using blue.)
(1:20) Field Trip 5th & 6th Street
· 5th St. with ADA sidewalks from Veterans Way to Jackpine
· Most effective way to accommodate bikes on 5th and 6th St, as the
speed limits of 35 mph are too high for them to use the traffic lane
safely

PSA: Irrigation system calibration & Big Chainring Awards Nominations
Announcements: COACT Executive Committee voted to recommend to the full ACT
that BPAC be granted a seat at the table with a vote. The next COACT meeting is
March 11th at 3 pm at the COIC Building in Redmond.
