The purpose of this document is to outline topics of discussion and actions by the Committee. Call to Order (1:24 reflects time in audio recording the item begins) The meeting was called to order at 12:05pm. Introductions Prior Minutes (2:59) Meeting minutes from the July 2010 and September 2010 meeting were approved by unanimous vote. Presentation of the Sisters Trails Alliance (3:52) Chuck provided overview of the Sisters Trails Alliance and recent projects. Marv Lang provided overview of Forest Service trail related projects in the area. Presentation of Recent and Future Bicycle/Pedestrian Improvements in Sisters (24:59) Brad Grimm provided overview of recent and future bicycle and pedestrian related projects and grant applications in the City of Sisters. Presentation of Safe Routes to Schools in Sisters (45:06) Leland Bliss and Kim Curley provided overview of the Safe Routs to Schools programs in Sisters. BPAC Business (54:54) Topics discussed: -ODOT/ Bike safety video -Bike boxes at 3rd Street/Greenwood Avenue intersection -Irrigation system calibration / p.m. pedestrians press release -Goal Assessment -DRW Neighborhood Association meeting on Thursday October 21st at 7 City/Organizations Updates (1:15:39) Redmond Bike lane added along north 5th Street and sharrows downtown to identify bikes are present. Work has begun on an ADA plan. Bend Grant application for Riverside street improvements (buffered bike lanes) submitted. Application is available online. Deschutes County $24,000 grant match approved by BOCC for Tumalo Trail project. Commute Options Carpool Incentive Program underway. Commute Options programs being expanded to all of ODOT Region 4. New bike corral downtown Bend. Bike rack sponsorship program started. Road Users Safety Task Force Door hangers for share the road information for both motorists and cyclists and sidewalk maintenance are available. Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 1:27 pm. Walking tour of Downtown Sisters followed. Note: Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Bend at Bend City Hall.
