3. CONSIDERATION of the Reading and Approval of a Proclamation
Declaring the Week of May 19 through 25 Parenting Education Awareness
Week – Vicki Ertle, Family Resource Center of Central Oregon, with Others
Suggested Actions: Read and approve the Proclamation.
4. CONSIDERATION of First and Second Readings by Title Only, and
Adoption by Emergency, of Ordinance No. 2013-003, Amending Code to
Change the Ratio of Overnight to Residential Units in Destination Resorts –
Nick Lelack, Community Development; Laurie Craghead, County Counsel
Suggested Actions: Conduct first and second readings by title only; move
adoption by emergency of Ordinance No. 2013-003

5. CONSIDERATION of First Reading by Title Only of Ordinance No. 2013-
007, Amending the Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan and Adopting
Newberry Country: A Plan for Southern Deschutes County – Peter Gutowsky,
Community Development; Laurie Craghead, County Counsel
Suggested Action: Conduct first reading of Ordinance No. 2013-007.
