Consideration of Chair signature of Document 2013-264, First Addendum to Lease with State Water
Resources Department.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The State Water Resources Department gave notice that they do not wish to renew their lease for office
space at 1128 NW Harriman Street, Bend. The lease expires June 30, 2013. They have requested an
extension to August 30,2013, to accommodate their moving schedule.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Rental income will be $6,318.00.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends Board authorize Chair to sign DC 2013-264.

FIRST ADDENDUM TO LEASE
Parties:
LESSOR: DESCHUTES COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon
LESSEE: STATE OF OREGON, acting by and through its DEPARTMENT of WATER
RESOURCES;
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee entered into a Lease (DC 2011-223) with an effective
date of July 1, 2011, ("the Lease") covering space described as approximately Two
Thousand Two Hundred Forty (2,240) square feet of office space located at 1128 NW
Harriman Street, Bend, Oregon 97701 Deschutes County (the "Premises"); and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to make a change to the Lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree that, effective July 1, 2013, the Lease is
hereby amended to read as follows:
1. Term. The effective date of this Lease shall be July 1, 2011, or the date on which
each party has signed this Lease, whichever is later, and shall continue until June aD,
August 30, 2013, or twenty four (24) twenty-six (26) months. Lessor and Lessee
each reserve the right to terminate this Lease prior to its expiration with thirty (30)
days written notice, given to the other party.
Except as otherwise provided in this Lease, if the Lessee is not then in default and
with Lessor's approval, Lessee has the option to renew this lease for one (1) year by
giving at least thirty (30) days written notice to Lessor prior to the expiration of the
lease term.
Except as otherwise provided in this Addendum, the terms and conditions of the Lease
remain in effect.
