PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Consideration of Resolution #2013-102. The Public Health Department has been awarded additional grant funding for $134,008. Resources from this award will be used to improve prenatal and early childhood wellness through a coordinated care system aimed at empowering low-income families. This program optimizes the use of primary care, oral health, behavioral health, prevention, family support and early learning initiatives. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: The County will receive an additional $134,008 from a private grant. This grant will provide additional resources not included in the FY 2014 Adopted Budget and will be appropriated as Personnel. The additional resources, totaling $110,809 from Contingency, will be appropriated to add 2.80 full-time equivalent positions.
