TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2014-004 transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County
Public Health Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2014-004. The Personnel category in the Public Health Fund will be
decreased by $7,543 (.10 FTE). A portion ofa Health Educator II position (.10 FTE) has been unfilled
for six months and it has been determined that the FTE should be reduced accordingly.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Personnel to Contingency for $7,543 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2014-004.

Within the Various Funds of the 2013-2014 * RESOLUTION NO. 2014-004
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Public Health Department requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:

This appropriation transfer request removes .10 fte (position #11) of a Health Educator II in Public Health. This partial
fte has been unfilled for the first 6 months of FY 14 and it has been determined it should be removed from our budget.
Tom Anderson approved the removal of this fte on December 16, 2013.
For health benefits trust purposes, no longer charge Fund 259 effective January 1, 2014.
