Consideration of Board Signature of2014-080 transferring appropriations within the Black Butte
Ranch Service District Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? No.
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2014-080, transferring appropriations within the Black Butte Ranch
Service District Fund. Additional appropriation is required in the Materials & Services category due to
expenditures for Range Master Training and the Community Education Program. These were not
anticipated at the time the FY 2014 budget was adopted.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Materials & Services for $10,000 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2014-080.

District Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is an e-mail from the Black Butte Ranch Service District police chief
requesting a transfer of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Black Butte Ranch Service
District Budget to accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE BLACK BUTTE RANCH ISERVICE DISTRICT as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:

I attached the documents you sent, hopefully with the information you needed.
Our projections show we will likely be just under the current budget but let's play it safe. I did change
the first entry from Telephone to Supplies but I don't have the correct line number for that so I
highlighted it in orange. I also left the yellow highlights in the areas I amended.
If there is an audit adjustment in the fall does that affect the major category rules (in case the adjust
over the budgeted amount in a major category)?
If you have any questions or concems feel free to call my cell.
