DATE: February 15,2012 FROM: Marty Wynne Finance (541) 388-6559 TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM: Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-008, appropriating a new grant in the Acute Care Services Fund. PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Consideration of Resolution #2012-008. The Acute Care Services Fund was awarded additional grant funding in the amount of$165,665 to be used to offset the increase in contract payments made to a third party provider for acute care treatment. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: The County will receive an additional $165,665 from the State of Oregon. This funding will provide additional resources not included in the FY 2012 Adopted Budget. That the following grants be budgeted: Revenue 276-0000-334.12-00 State Grant $165,665 TOTAL REVENUE: $165,665 Section 2. Our FY 12 requested and adopted budget included an anticipated decrease in State funding, which did not occur. The attached budget resolution increases our State grant revenue and increases our contract appropriation for third party providers of acute care services. Our adopted budget planned for a decrease in State general funds which did not occur. Additionally, contract payments to our third party provider for our acute care treatment services were increased to reflect the additional funding.
