TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-009, transfer of appropriations in the OHP-Chemical
Dependency Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-009. Additional resources will be available in the OHP-Chemical
Dependency Fund which were not anticipated at the time the FY 2012 budget was adopted. These
resources will be transferred to the Behavioral Health Fund (275) to hire a Public Health Nurse II, an
Administrative Analyst, a Clinical Supervisor and a Division Director.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Transfers Out for $124,675 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-009.

Within the Various Funds of the 2011-2012 * RESOLUTION NO. 2012-009
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
FROM: 280-2200-501.97-01 Deschutes County OHP-Chemical Dependency,
Contingency $ 124,675
TO: 280-2200-491.96-12 Deschutes County ORP-Chemical Dependency,
Transfers Out, Behavioral Health $ 124,675
Section 2. That the Finance Director make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes County
Budget document to show the above appropriations.

Attached please find an excel workbook with two tabs containing appropriation transfers requests for both Fund 270
and Fund 280. Transfers in to Fund 275 are increasing to allow for the hiring of staff to provide OHP client services.
Previously, appropriation transfers were submitted to add the fte in Fund 275 our of contingency.
