Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-012, transfer of appropriation in the Behavioral
Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-012. The Behavioral Health Department will increase the Personnel
Category by $71,438. The Behavioral Health Department has a need to hire a Mental Health
Specialist II (1.00 FTE). This position will provide services to Oregon Health Plan (OHP) clients in the
short term care program. This change was not anticipated at the time of the FY 2012 budget.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel for $71,438 is required.

Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-012.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached please find an appropriation transfer request to add one Mental Health Specialist II to our adult program. This
staff will provide services to OHP clients in our short term care program. Erik Kropp and the BOC approved this request
on 1/30/12. We expect to hire this position in March 2012.
