No BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: The City of Bend issued General Obligation Bonds to upgrade several major street corridors and intersections. One of the improvement projects is a new roundabout at Simpson Ave.lMt. Washington Dr. Deschutes County owns property at that intersection. The City of Bend needs to acquire approximately 11,112 square feet (0.26 acres) from the County for right of way purposes. Property and Facilities Department staff reviewed the City's appraisal and met with the acquisition agent. This acquisition will have minimal impact on the County's land. Based on the professional appraisal, the City offers $7,655 for the fee acquisition. They also offer $7,595 for 345 lineal feet of chain link fencing to be taken, a total offer of$15,250. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: $15,250 payment to Deschutes County. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Staff recommends Board signature of DC 2012-184.
